Equipment requirements are established through local, regional and national lacrosse regulations, and are intended to ensure that childrens' safety is protected. Please note that non-compliant equipment will prevent your child from playing or practicing - as we are concerned about safety.
Lacrosse equipment can be expensive. However there are a variety of options. The local league has an informal "swap program." Please visit our on-line Swap Shop Exchange.
There are also businesses, including Jungle locally, who offer economically priced "starter packs" which provide the required gear. Your child will have strong peer influenced opinions on the minimum acceptable "type of stick" etc. We recommend getting started with basic, safe equipment and upgrading if your child enjoys the game and plans to continue playing.
Keep in mind also that there are often great "end of season" sale prices on a variety of gear available for sale at our end of season jamborees.
